The Mansfield Police Department and Fire Departments are working collaboratively on a new project to bring a nuanced response to our community’s more vulnerable populations. Working toward our shared goal of providing a safe environment for our children to flourish and the adult population to thrive, MPD and MFD have been working together to centralize information that can be helpful when either department responds to your house; or comes to know you or a member of your family during a call for service. We aim to accomplish this goal by focusing the efforts of FD’s Community EMS Team with the PD’s Outreach Engagement Team toward helping citizens who require assistance from a first responder to identify any specific needs of the resident and to communicate without issue effectively.
This voluntary program begins by completing this Special Response Plan form and submitting it to our Outreach Engagement Team. To complete the form electronically, click the link and download the fillable form. Once downloaded and completed, click the “submit” button to attach the completed form to an email to our Team. Registrations can also be filled out in person at the Public Safety Building. The information provided is confidential and only accessible by the Mansfield Police and Fire Departments. Data shared on the registration form will be entered into our dispatch software with an alert so that First Responders will have specific information before arriving at a call for service at your home.
In addition to the Special Response Plan registration information, MPD & MFD will evaluate at-risk members of the community for Project lifesaver tracking,
Frequent contact is important for maintaining an accurate Special Response Plan. Members of the MPD Outreach Team and MFD Community EMS Team will conduct follow-ups to evaluate whether needs are being met and connect participants with available services.
